Welcome to Flatblog!

This is Flatblog - the place to read about all things Flatland. A place for the real fans of Flatland. It will act as an archive for things that happen at Flatland that you might not hear about elsewhere. These could be workshops that are taking place - like the recent Do Your Ideas Carpentry Workshop - or projects that are works in progress, or maybe about artist residencies.

Or maybe… something else entirely, because at the moment Flatblog is a bit of a work in progress. What it will contain isn’t strictly defined. Nor is who writes it. Currently I, Toby Bula-Edge (Civic Engagement Assistant at Flatland Projects), am sitting in the office on a Saturday morning drinking a cup of tea while typing this out. I am fuelled by tea. Some would say I’m addicted. But in the future, a 22 year old tea addict and Civic Engagement Assistant may not be the sole author of this blog. It may be someone older, younger or the same age who is addicted to coffee and doesn’t just engage civically.

It’s almost completely up in the air what this will contain (although there is some idea, I’m overemphasising the flying completely blind. It’s called creative license) and who will write it. That is the joy of Flatblog and it is in that situation that I raise my mug of tea and say: “Welcome to Flatblog!”
