This event coincides with the opening week of ‘Slips’ Gilbert’s first UK institutional solo exhibition commissioned at Flatland Projects with support from Arts Council England, The Bridget Riley Art Foundation, and Rother District Council.

David Gilbert (b. 1982, New York, NY) lives and works in Los Angeles.

Evan Moffitt is a journalist, critic and Senior Digital Editor for The Observer. His writing also appears in The Guardian, The New York Times, Financial Times, Frieze, Art in America, Art Review and Aperture, among other publications. He has held editorial roles at several magazines, including Digital Editor at BUTT and Senior Editor at Frieze, and has co-authored books on numerous artists, including Hélio Oiticica, Jack Pierson, Salman Toor, and Paul Mpagi Sepuya. He holds a BA in Art History from UCLA and a MA in Research Architecture from Goldsmiths University. He lives in London.
‘Slips’ runs from 3rd October 2026 - 16th January 2027.
